The Case
Our client, a 74-year-old man, was traveling on S.C. Highway 22 in Horry County, pulling a trailer behind his pickup truck, when a vehicle traveling over 60 miles per hour violently rear-ended his trailer. Both vehicles were totaled. The investigating officer found the other driver solely at fault. The collision caused soft tissue injuries to our client’s lower back that required months of physical therapy, injections, and ultimately a rhizotomy.
The Outcome
Rather than accept an inadequate offer, we took this case to trial. After hearing the evidence, the Horry County jury deliberated for only 90 minutes before returning a verdict of $212,311.80 in favor of our client, full compensation for his injuries and the treatment he endured.
