Our Story

For over a decade, I’ve stood beside South Carolinians facing their hardest moments. Together, we transform devastating loss into lasting justice—one person, one family, one verdict at a time.

"Every client has a story. I make sure it gets heard.”

Annie didn't go to law school to only win cases. She went to give people a voice.

Before founding Annie Andrews Law, she spent seven years representing people who couldn’t afford a lawyer, trying dozens of cases to verdict, and learning what it really means to fight for someone when the system is working against them. That foundation shaped everything about how she practices law today. It was during that work, representing children who had been abused, neglected, and forgotten, that everything changed.

When a client told her he didn’t have a single book to read, Annie didn’t just feel for him. She did something about it. She organized a drive that put over 4,000 books into juvenile facilities across Charleston, Columbia, and Greenville. She also uncovered unconstitutional conditions inside the Charleston County Juvenile Detention Center and refused to look away, spearheading a civil rights lawsuit that ultimately led to the closure of the fifty-year-old facility and ended decades of unconstitutional youth confinement.

That’s who Annie is, someone who hears what a client needs and finds a way to answer it, whether that’s in a courtroom or not.

That lawsuit was the turning point. To see it through, Annie moved into private practice, where she began representing people who had been harmed by the very systems meant to protect them. Today Annie focuses on personal injury, catastrophic injury, medical malpractice, and wrongful death cases. Her clients are rarely the most powerful people in the room. They’re people who’ve been seriously hurt, overlooked, or let down by a negligent driver, a dangerous condition, or a medical system that failed them when they were most vulnerable. That’s always been her corner of the courtroom.

Annie currently serves as Secretary of the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association, and serves on the Board of Governors for the South Carolina Association for Justice, and is a member of the James L. Petigru Inn of Court.

She has been recognized by Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers in America, and the National Trial Lawyers’ Top 100, honors she holds alongside the ones closest to her heart: a Pro Bono Award for 500+ hours, the 2021 Emerging Leader Award from the SC Women Lawyers Association, and being named South Carolina’s Juvenile Public Defender of the Year.

She is AV-Preeminent® rated by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest distinction for legal excellence and ethics, and is a member of the James L. Petigru Inn of Court.

Making a call to Annie Andrews for my case was the best decision I could have made. Her professionalism, understanding of my case and the perseverance to help me receive a positive outcome was reassuring during the entire process. Annie's paralegal, Autumn Perry is an asset to her team. Autumn is a great communicator, kept me up to date with documents and arranging appointments to fit my schedule. I appreciate them both for their kindness and all the hard work they did for my case.

Annie Andrews was my husband’s attorney in a personal injury suit where my husband was badly hurt. She worked tirelessly, did incredible research on his case from beginning to end to prove negligence. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a top notch attorney. In the end we received a very satisfying settlement.

Being in a serious vehicle accident is terrifying. Not knowing what to do about the pain, surgery, and the many bills that were piling up- was absolutely traumatizing. As well as having to deal with both insurance companies. I had no idea what to do; I was refereed by a friend to contact Anine Andrews Annie managed this horrible situation for me AND stood up for me- against the insurance companies. Her and Autumn "held my hand through it all" and negotiated a just settlement that I would not have gotten without Annie Andrews. I cannot thank and praise them enough!

I can’t say enough great things about Annie Andrews and her paralegal, Autumn. From the very beginning of my case, they made me feel comfortable, informed, and cared for—just like family. Annie is incredibly smart and truly knows her stuff, and Autumn was always there to provide guidance and support every step of the way.

They went above and beyond to make sure I received the maximum settlement for my car accident, and I never once felt left in the dark. Their communication, compassion, and professionalism set them apart from the rest. I highly recommend Annie Andrews and her team to anyone looking for a trustworthy, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring lawyer. They are the kind of people you want by your side during difficult times. 10 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
