Our client’s family member, a nursing home resident, developed severe pressure ulcers because the facility failed to provide appropriate wound care, reposition the patient, and prevent infection. The neglect progressed to Stage 4 decubitus ulcers and sepsis, ultimately causing the resident’s death. We brought a claim on behalf of the family.

After litigation, the case resolved for $400,000 holding the facility accountable and providing the family a measure of justice for a loss that should never have happened.
