SCAJ‘s mission is to serve its members and those they are sworn to protect, advocating for people harmed by the actions of others and fighting to protect the rights of the individual through open and fair courtrooms, accountability for wrongdoers, and the highest standards of ethical conduct in the legal profession. Within SCAJ, the Child Advocacy Committee focuses that same mission on legal issues affecting the safety and wellbeing of children within the civil justice system.
For 2025-2026, Annie Andrews serves as Chair of the Child Advocacy Committee, helping guide the organization’s focus on issues affecting young clients and their families.
This role connects directly to the work Annie does at Annie Andrews Law, where her practice regularly involves families seeking justice after a child has been seriously injured or a family has lost a loved one. Chairing the Child Advocacy Committee allows Annie to bring that same care and attention to a broader policy conversation, helping ensure that the civil justice system continues to protect children and families who need it most. It is a role she has taken on because advocating for children is already at the heart of the work her firm does every day.
